1. Who we are and agreement to these terms

Ancient Mall is operated by [registered legal name and legal status], registration number [insert], registered in [insert jurisdiction], with its service address at [complete address] and telephone [insert]. References to “Ancient Mall”, “we” and “us” mean that operator.

These terms govern use of our website and buyer, seller and delivery applications. Please read them before creating an account or placing an order. By accepting these terms when registering or transacting, you agree to them. If you act for a business, you must be authorised to bind it.

The Return and Refund Policy, Support Policy and applicable Seller Policy form part of the relevant service arrangements. The Privacy Policy explains personal-data processing; acceptance of these terms is not blanket consent to optional marketing or unnecessary data collection.

Mandatory law takes priority. For returns, the Return and Refund Policy takes priority over inconsistent seller restrictions. The Seller Policy governs seller-specific matters, and separate delivery-provider agreements govern provider-specific matters, subject in each case to mandatory law and buyers' rights. Material changes apply prospectively and do not remove accrued rights or alter confirmed orders without a lawful basis.

2. Marketplace roles

Ancient Mall provides the platform for listing, ordering, communications, payment coordination and delivery coordination. Unless an order expressly identifies Ancient Mall as the seller, the sale is between the buyer and the named seller.

Sellers are responsible for their products, descriptions, legal sale, packaging and fulfilment. Delivery providers are responsible for the delivery services they undertake. Ancient Mall remains responsible for its own services and legal obligations; its marketplace role is not a blanket exclusion of liability.

3. Eligibility and account security

Account holders must be at least 18 and legally able to enter the relevant agreement. A younger person may shop only through an adult's account under that adult's supervision and responsibility. Sellers and delivery account holders must be adults and satisfy applicable verification requirements.

Provide accurate contact, identity and payment details and keep them current. We may request proportionate verification for seller onboarding, payouts, fraud prevention or account recovery. Protect your credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorised access. Users are not automatically liable for every unauthorised transaction merely because it involved their account.

Do not impersonate another person, use another person's payment method without permission or create accounts to evade restrictions. Linked social login does not change these responsibilities.

4. Listings, prices and order formation

Sellers must describe product condition, main characteristics, availability and applicable restrictions accurately. Product listings and checkout must identify the seller and communicate the total payable price, applicable taxes, delivery fees and material conditions before payment.

Prices are in Ghana cedis (GHS) unless another currency is expressly displayed. Promotional terms must be clear and honoured once validly applied. Price changes do not alter confirmed orders.

An order submission is the buyer's offer to purchase. An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt, not seller acceptance. A sale is confirmed when the seller accepts the order and Ancient Mall communicates that acceptance. Sellers should confirm within 24 hours. Payment collected for an order that is not accepted must be refunded.

Before submitting, review your basket, delivery address and payment details. You may correct errors or leave checkout before placing the order. Save your confirmation and receipt. Contact support for assistance obtaining available transaction records.

If a material listing or pricing error is discovered, we will explain it and seek your agreement to any proposed change or provide the cancellation/refund required by law. We will not silently increase an accepted price or substitute another item.

5. Payments and seller charges

Use only payment options offered through the official checkout. Payment providers may apply their own disclosed processing conditions. Ancient Mall does not store full payment-card numbers, as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not pay a seller or supposed support agent through an unofficial link or personal account presented outside the authorised process.

Seller commissions and processing fees must be disclosed in the applicable fee schedule before they are charged. Listing is currently free under the supplied Seller Policy. Any future fee must be communicated before it applies; no unspecified percentage is authorised by these terms.

Under the Seller Policy, eligible seller balances are scheduled for Monday payouts, with a GHS 100 minimum and an expected two to three business days for bank processing. Disputed or unverified amounts may be held when reasonably necessary. We will explain the reason where legally permitted, review the hold and release amounts no longer requiring restriction. Account closure does not extinguish lawful rights to an outstanding balance.

6. Delivery and fulfilment

Sellers ordinarily prepare accepted orders within one to three business days. Preparation is separate from delivery transit time. The order's disclosed delivery period applies, subject to mandatory law. Buyers must provide a usable address and contact details and cooperate with reasonable delivery arrangements.

Delivery personnel must safeguard parcels, use customer information only for authorised tasks, record handover accurately and treat users respectfully. They must not mark undelivered items as delivered or demand undisclosed charges.

Delivery confirmation does not waive hidden-defect claims. If a parcel is missing, damaged or delivered incorrectly, contact support. For platform-arranged delivery, the buyer is not required to accept loss caused before proper delivery merely because a seller handed the parcel to a courier.

7. Returns and cancellations

The Return and Refund Policy explains requests, costs and refund handling. Sellers must cooperate with valid claims. “Sale item”, “no refund” or similar labels cannot remove mandatory consumer rights. Orders that cannot be fulfilled must be cancelled and refunded appropriately.

8. Seller and delivery-provider conduct

Sellers must comply with verification, listing, stock management, response, packaging, product safety, tax and licensing obligations. They must possess the rights and permissions needed to sell listed goods. Verification is not a guarantee by Ancient Mall of every seller claim or product.

Delivery providers must hold any required licences, use lawful and safe methods, protect customer property and comply with their applicable service agreement. Detailed remuneration, insurance and engagement arrangements are governed by that agreement, not invented by these general terms.

9. Prohibited goods and behaviour

Prohibited listings include illegal or stolen goods, counterfeits, weapons and explosives, illegal drugs, hazardous materials prohibited by the Seller Policy, human organs, endangered-species products, unauthorised copyrighted goods and adult content or services. Regulated goods require all relevant licences and platform approval; a licence alone does not guarantee permission to list.

Users must not commit fraud, manipulate reviews, harass others, discriminate unlawfully, send spam, misuse customer data, interfere with platform security, introduce malware or bypass access restrictions. Sellers must not redirect platform buyers to outside payments to evade marketplace obligations.

10. Reviews and intellectual property

Reviews should reflect genuine experiences. Incentivised, fabricated or retaliatory reviews are prohibited. We may remove unlawful, abusive, irrelevant or demonstrably fraudulent content, but a negative review will not be removed solely because it criticises a seller.

You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant Ancient Mall a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and technically adapt that content as necessary to operate and promote its listing or the service. This licence does not transfer ownership or authorise unrelated use of private communications. It ends when the content is removed, except for lawful retention, backups and materials already distributed where reasonably necessary.

Ancient Mall's branding, software and original platform materials belong to their respective rights holders. Send infringement complaints to [email protected] with the listing link, identified work or mark, basis of your rights and contact details.

11. Privacy and communications

Personal data is handled under the Privacy Policy. Sellers and delivery providers may use order information only for fulfilment, authorised support and legal obligations. They must not sell it, repurpose it for independent advertising without a lawful basis, or retain unnecessary copies.

Service communications may include account, order, delivery and security updates. Promotional communications depend on the applicable consent and opt-out arrangements. Support will never ask you to disclose a password, OTP or payment PIN in a message.

12. Service interruptions and responsibility

We aim to maintain a reliable service, but maintenance, connectivity problems and third-party failures may cause interruptions. We will take reasonable steps to address problems within our responsibility. An interruption does not remove an obligation to account for payments, fulfil valid commitments or provide a refund where due.

Each party remains responsible for loss for which it is legally liable. To the extent permitted by law, Ancient Mall does not accept liability for speculative profits or losses too remote from its breach to be recoverable. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, negligence where exclusion is prohibited, mandatory consumer protections or any other non-excludable obligation. Sellers' and payment providers' involvement does not excuse Ancient Mall's own breach.

13. Restriction, suspension and account closure

We may restrict listings, transactions or accounts where reasonably necessary to address fraud, safety risks, unlawful conduct, material policy breaches or repeated fulfilment failures. Measures should be proportionate. We will give reasons and review instructions where legally and practically possible; urgent protective action may occur first.

Appeal a suspension within 14 calendar days of notification through support. An internal appeal deadline does not remove external legal rights. Pending orders must be completed or refunded as appropriate, and legitimate balances accounted for. We will not automatically confiscate balances because an account is suspended.

You may request closure through the available account controls or by emailing support. Outstanding orders, lawful liabilities and necessary records may require further handling; closure does not cancel statutory privacy rights. Retention is governed by the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

14. Complaints and governing law

Contact support first so we can investigate. Our Support Policy explains escalation and internal review. Participation does not require you to abandon bank, regulator or court remedies, and no mandatory private arbitration is imposed by these terms.

These terms are governed by Ghanaian law. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear disputes. Where another country's mandatory consumer protections apply, this clause does not remove them.

15. Changes and general provisions

We will publish revisions with updated dates and provide reasonable notice of material changes through appropriate service channels. Where affirmative agreement is legally necessary, we will request it. Users may stop using the service and request closure while retaining existing rights and obligations.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent legally possible. A delay in enforcing a right is not a permanent waiver. These terms and the applicable disclosed policies govern the relevant service without excluding representations or protections that law requires us to honour.
